As we begin a new school year, the Ryerson
Student Union is once again putting on their annual Campus Groups Fair: an exhibition of all of the RSU’s student
groups and course unions. Visit us in the quad between 10:00 a.m. and
4:00 p.m. to learn more about ITE, transportation engineering, or just to
chat. Or to find other student groups that fit your
interests.
We are
looking for volunteers to
represent RITE at our booth. If
you’re available for any amount of time, your help is greatly
appreciated.

your marks….get set…..and make sure you GO to the ITE Toronto Spring
Luncheon this year on Friday, May 1st, beginning at 11:30 AM, at the
historic Old Mill Toronto! Our keynote speaker will be Andrew Posluns, Executive Director of the Pan/Parapan Am Games Branch at the Ministry of
Transportation. Mr. Posluns is leading the
Ministry’s efforts to plan for and deliver a comprehensive and integrated
transportation plan for the upcoming Pan/Parapan
Am Games. Join us at the luncheon to hear more on the Ministry's plans

The closest major intersection is Bloor Street at the Kingsway, and the
venue is located just steps away from the TTC Subway on the Bloor line at
Old Mill Station. Parking at the hotel is $2.00/hour and there is free
parking available within a five minute walk.
Registration:
The cost for this event, which always includes a great lunch, is $50
for ITE members, $60 for Non-ITE members and $25
for students. Payment can be made either online or alternatively
at door by cash or cheque, with the cheque payable to the "ITE Toronto
Section". As always, any individual who registers but does not attend

Join us for an afternoon of
board games and casual discussion of transportation issues. Come play or learn to play Ticket to
Ride- a game where you aim to build a superior rail network to those of
your opponents - and other non-transportation themed games. Get to know your colleagues: the
Ryerson Association of Planning Students, CSCE student chapter, and the U
of T ITE student chapter have all been invited. Any students with an interest in
the transportation profession are also welcome to attend. Food and refreshments will be
provided.

Margaret Laurence Room and is located on the second floor of the Student
Campus Centre at 55 Gould Street. Please

Institute of Transportation Engineers (UT-ITE) Student Chapter will be
hosting our 4th annual
Student-Industry Mixer. This networking
event provides students and professionals the opportunity to connect and
exchange experiences, insights, and questions about transportation
developments and career opportunities across the GTHA. In the past it has
been very successful, attracting over one hundred students and a dozen private/public organizations.
The
event will run from 5-7 PM in the Debates Room in Hart House (7 Hart House Circle,

collaborating with Ryerson's CSCE chapter to bring you a night of speakers
discussing Toronto's mayoral
candidates' transit plans.
Speakers are professor Dr.
Joseph Chow from the department of civil engineering, associate dean of
TRSM and director of the Institute of Housing and Mobility, Dr. Murtaza Haider, as well as graduate student and urban
design enthusiast, Rishi Lukka.
For CSCE or RITE members cost is $5. Refreshments
will be provided.
